ABOUT KIRK O’CLIFF

Kirk O’Cliff Presbyterian Church was built in 1876, by a group of Scottish Presbyterians on cliffs overlooking the Anna River in what is now the Lake Anna area of Central Virginia. In 1911 , long before the lake was created, the church building was taken apart and relocated to its present site in order to be closer to the location of its membership. Were the church still at its original location, it would be covered by the waters of the lake.
